Layne Smith

I have a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and a Master of Arts in Teaching Secondary Social Studies from Converse College. As of 2007, I have my Endorsement for teaching Gifted and Talented students in South Carolina. As of 2010, I also have my certification to teach AP European History.

The 2018-19 school year will mark my 13th year teaching at Mayo High School for MST.

Mollie the Hairless Cat

I am a 13-year-old Sphynx and Layne Smith is my human. Petting me isn’t “gross”, it feels very warm and fuzzy like a sun-baked peach. I enjoy sunbathing, nesting under blankets, and helping grade papers. My breed was originated in Canada in the 70s and the hairlessness is actually due to genetics. I’m actually pretty well educated as I regularly help grade papers for Layne and her husband Alex!
